Euro Mortice Locks are a modern & simple solution to external locking. They use a lock body & a separate cylinder to function. This is beneficial as it allows for easy re-keying without having to remove the whole lock from the door. The keys provided with a euro cylinder will fit in a wallet or similar for convenience too. You may be looking for old-fashioned Traditional Mortice Locks instead (characterised by classic skeleton keys).

 

The lock & cylinder are separate items - each lock will have all the information necessary in the description to ensure you purchase the right items. Generally, all our euro cylinders come with two keys included with each quantity of cylinder. For multiple quantities, we will have your order keyed alike by standard - otherwise, please specify in the checkout if you would like your cylinders keyed to differ from one another (e.g. for a separate granny flat or such).

We recommend Jacksons Locks for our euro locks; Australian-made and the best in quality & reliability. For our cylinders, we recommend Tradco due to their wide range of available finishes. For retrofitting; a backset measurement refers to the distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the door handle - 60mm is standard in Australia, but generally 45mm backset euro locks are also available. We additionally offer a hard-to-find 30mm backset euro lock for narrow french doors and alike. For rebated double doors, you will need to purchase a rebated variant rather than a standard lock.
